The inaugural running of the $100,000-guaranteed Becca Taylor Stakes will highlight the upcoming September Thoroughbred meet at Los Alamitos.

The six-day season is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 11 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 20. Racing will be conducted Friday-Sunday both weeks (Sept. 11-13 and Sept. 18-20). Post time will be 1 p.m.

Named in honor of the daughter of Old Topper and the General Meeting mare Lady Sax owned by California breeder Nick Alexander, the Becca Taylor will be run Saturday, Sept. 12. The race is for 3-year-old fillies and will be contested at

six furlongs. Trained by Steve Miyadi, Becca Taylor won nine of 10 starts–including the GII Great Lady M. at Los Alamitos in 2022–and earned $499,160.

Also during the meet, the other stakes is the $75,000-guaranteed E.B. Johnston for 3-year-olds & up bred or sired in California. The one-mile race will be offered Saturday, Sept. 19.
