ROSE TREE (f, 3, Harlan's Holiday–Amusing, by Distorted Humor) overcame some early traffic and kicked on strongly in the stretch to score at Parx and run her lifetime record to three wins in three starts Monday. A dazzling 9 1/4-length victress on debut Oct. 15 at Delaware, the bay repeated in the Pennsylvania-bred Blue Mountain Juvenile Fillies S. Nov. 23 at Penn National and was hammered down to 2-5 while adding Lasix to stay unblemished here. Off a half-step slowly from the rail, Rose Tree got shuffled back a bit in the opening stages, but found a comfortable spot in fourth behind a contested opening quarter in :22.92. Advancing willingly on the latter half of the turn, the favorite quickly ranged up to challenge pacesetter Ingrid (Gemologist) to that one's inside at the three-sixteenths marker and sped away in the final furlong to score by 4 1/4 lengths. The winner's dam, a half to champion Lost in the Fog (Lost Soldier), has a 2-year-old Animal Kingdom colt named Magical Kingdom and foaled a colt by Hard Spun named What a Laugh last spring before being paired with Elusive Quality. Lifetime Record: SW, 3-3-0-0, $119,880. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
