2.18 Leopardstown, Mdn, €15,000, 3yo, c/g, 10fT
GUN CARRIAGE (Gun Runner) is one of a trio from Ballydoyle here and probably the third-string on jockey bookings, but given that he was a $1.25-million purchase at Keeneland September is very much a big deal. Out of the triple graded-stakes-placed Special Event (Arch) who is a half to the GII Swaps Stakes winner Chief Havoc (Giant's Causeway), he is joined by Coolmore's 950,000gns Tattersalls October Book 1 purchase Roosevelt (GB) (Frankel {GB}) from the Fittocks Stud family of the former Ballydoyle luminary by Sadler's Wells Alexandrova (Ire) and Stay True (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), one of the last clutch by the Coolmore great who was a 400,000gns Tattersalls December Foal purchase and the pick of Ryan Moore.
3.05 Nottingham, Mdn, £7,000, 3yo/up, 10f 50yT
SEA OF KINGS (IRE) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) is a big runner for Clipper Logistics, being a full-brother to the G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine and Arc runner-up Sea Of Class (Ire). A €250,000 Goffs November Foal purchase, he takes on eight as one of the most promising types to have represented the Harry Eustace stable so far.
