Watchful (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), the dam of this year's G1 Coronation S. winner Watch Me (Fr) (Olympic Glory {Ire}), has been added to next weekend's Arqana December Sale as a wildcard. The 15-year-old mare will be offered as lot 170 by Haras de Saint Julien in foal to Golden Horn (GB).
Watchful produced Watch Me as her fifth foal, and in addition to her Royal Ascot highlight that Francis Graffard trainee took the G3 Prix Imprudence and the Listed Criterium du Languedoc, and was third in the G1 Prix de l'Opera. Watchful has yearling and foal colts by Elvstroem (Aus), the latter of which will also be offered at Arqana as lot 22.
Also joining the sale as wildcards are a pair of well-bred fillies off the track. Koala (Fr) (Kodiac {GB}) is a 2-year-old three-quarter sister to this year's G1 2000 Guineas winner Magna Grecia (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) who has started once for trainer Nicolas Clement. She will be offered as lot 130.
Aeronautical (Medaglia d'Oro) is an unraced half-sister to three stakes horses-including listed winner It's Midnight (Shamardal) and the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois runner-up Holocene (Lemon Drop Kid)-and three stakes producers. It is also the family of multiple group winner and sire Titus Livius (Fr) and GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Zagora (Fr). Aeronautical will be offered by Coulonces Sales as lot 180.
