The team at Glenbeigh Farm is attending the Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale for the first time in 2026, and the first day of selling on Monday was full of high points for the operation, most notably in the case of lot 913, a Lope De Vega colt who topped the session when knocked down to KPW Bloodstock, representing the Wanless family, for A$600,000.
Bred by Ballylinch Stud, the colt is out of a Siyouni half-sister to G2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup winner Francesco Guardi (Frankel), from the immediate family of European Horse of the Year Treve (Motivator), whose six Group 1 wins include two editions of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
“It's a great result,” said Glenbeigh's Dennis Griffin. “He's a beautiful horse and he was very busy all week. I would like to thank Ballylinch Stud in Ireland who bred him for entrusting me to sell him for them. All in all, it's a great result. We're very happy!”
The price sets a new high watermark for the farm's 2026 sales season and has helped propel them up the vendor tables at the close of bidding.
Bloodstock agent Kevin Walls added, “He's the sort of horse that, as soon as he walked out of the box, you think, 'I hope he meets our criteria.' Once he did, he was always on our radar. He's a beautiful colt.”
