Only three lined up for Newmarket's mile novice on Saturday, but at the line it was a one-horse race as Godolphin's Bin Jahwar (Ghaiyyath) dominated to become a TDN Rising Star, Presented by Hagyard.
Sent straight to the front by Billy Loughnane, the Charlie Appleby-trained 1-3 favourite was in command at every step and drew away in his sire's own relentless fashion to record a bloodless 8 1/2-length success. The Gosdens' Waaqed (Frankel) was next in line, three lengths ahead of Al Qayed (Baaeed) from the William Haggas stable.
“He was very straightforward at home and being by Ghaiyyath he has that big stride so I let him use it,” Loughnane said of the sire's fourth TDN Rising Star, with Opera Ballo chief among them at present. “He's a big, imposing horse and he clicked through the gears nicely. Whatever he does this year is a bonus and he's smart horse with a nice future. That was very easy work for him and with more pace to aim at you'll see a better horse.”

Pedigree Notes
Bin Jahwar is a son of the smart Tasaday (Nayef), who captured the Prix de la Nonette, Prix des Reservoirs and Prix de Psyche and was placed in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, Prix de l'Opera, Prix Vermeille and Yorkshire Oaks. Her first foal was the past TDN Rising Star Turgenev (Dubawi), who was runner-up in the Celebration Mile, with her second runner being the Prix Chaudenay and Nad Al Sheba Trophy scorer Manobo (Sea The Stars).
The second dam Tashelka (Mujahid), who also took the Nonette when it was a Group 3 as well as the Prix Fille de l'Air, is a half-sister to the Prix Jean Prat-placed Tashkandi (Polish Precedent) and was responsible for the Group 3 winner Tribal Beat (Street Cry). Tasaday's colt foal is a full-brother to Manobo.
