+BHUTAN (IRE) (c, 3, Galileo (Ire)–Ecology, by Unbridled's Song), a half-brother to General Quarters (Sky Mesa), MGISW-US, $1,226,655, and to A Shin Top (Tale of the Cat), MGSW-Jpn, $2,081,243, was sent off at 14-1 and tracked the early pace in fourth before being unleashed out wide on the turn for home. Sweeping past stablemate Housesofparliament (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) passing the two-furlong marker, the grey stayed on strongly to account for that son of the GISW Sharp Lisa (Dixieland Band) by three lengths. “He's been sleeping at home obviously,” trainer Aidan O'Brien said. “I liked him as atwo-year-old, but as we got close to running him he was getting lazier and lazier and we didn't get to run. In his last few bits of work he's been going nice and respectably. He's a good-looking horse and a well-bred horse. He'll run in one of the trial races next and we'll see. He could make a lot of progress.” The dam, who is from the family of the champion Targowice and is more immediately related to the GSW Unitarian (Pulpit), has a 2-year-old full-sister to the winner named Our Maria Celeste, a yearling filly by Bernardini and has been bred to Medaglia d'Oro in 2016. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $8,764. Video, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
