Galileo Colt Anchors Tattersalls December Foal Catalogue

Precieuse's Galileo half-brother is offered at Tattersalls December | Racing Post

The 1,125-strong Tattersalls December Foal Sale catalogue is now online and is headed by a son of Galileo (Ire) out of French GSP Zut Alors (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}) as lot 971. Consigned by Knocktoran Stud, the chestnut is a half-brother to G1 French 1000 Guineas heroine Precieuse (Ire) (Tamayuz {GB}).

Running from Nov. 27 to Nov. 30, the sale offers 147 foals by the current top 15 active British sires and well over 200 by the top 20, with full- and half-siblings to almost 160 group and listed winners. There are also 70 foals out of group and listed winning mares. Weanlings by Galileo (Ire) (1), Dubawi (Ire) (2),  Frankel (GB) (4), Kingman (GB) (6), Sea the Stars (Ire) (14), Invincible Spirit (Ire) (3), Acclamation (GB) (14), Camelot (GB) (7), Dark Angel (Ire) (11), Kodiac (GB) (28), Lope de Vega (Ire) (12), No Nay Never (14), and Showcasing (GB) (26) are all represented, as are French sires Le Havre (Ire) and Siyouni (Fr) with one foal each.

First-season sires also have plenty of foals set to go under the hammer, among them Almanzor (Fr), Caravaggio, Churchill (Ire), Galileo Gold (GB), Highland Reel (Ire), National Defense (GB), Postponed (Ire), Ribchester (Ire), and Ulysses (Ire).
