Dalham Hall Stud resident Territories (Ire) (Invincible {Ire}) became the latest freshman sire to have sired a winner when Haras de la Gousserie's Rougir (Fr) pounced late to garner Wednesday's Prix Pauline over seven furlongs at Chantilly.

2nd-Chantilly, €22,000, Mdn, 6-10, unraced 2yo, f, 7fT, 1:29.76, g/s.
ROUGIR (FR) (f, 2, Territories {Ire}–Summer Moon {Fr} {SP-Fr}, by Elusive City), originally named as Lune de Printemps (Fr), was restrained to settle off the pace towards the rear for most of this debut. Inching closer once into the straight, the 8-1 chance was shaken up passing the quarter-mile marker and kept on relentlessly under late urging to prevail by a length from Isle of Wight (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}), becoming the first winner for her freshman sire (by Invincible Spirit {Ire}). Half-sister to a yearling colt by Recorder (GB), the March-foaled chestnut is the third of four foals and first winner produced by Listed Prix Coronation runner-up Summer Moon (Fr) (Elusive City) and hails from a family featuring MG1SW sire Kahyasi (Ire) (Ile de Bourbon). Sales history: €11,000 Wlg '18 ARQDEC; €55,000 Ylg '19 ARAUG. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €11,000. Video, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
1ST-TIME STARTER. O-Le Haras de la Gousserie; B-Jan Krauze (FR); T-Cedric Rossi.
