HARMLESS (FR) (c, 2, Anodin {Ire}–Snowbright {GB}, by Pivotal {GB}) raced in fifth through the initial fractions, but was shuffled back to seventh on the home turn in this debut. Coming under pressure in early straight, the well-backed 19-5 chance made continued headway to challenge wide approaching the final furlong and was pushed out to score by a comfortable 3 1/2 lengths from Granacci (Fr) (Evasive {GB}), becoming the first winner for his Haras du Quesnay-based freshman sire (by Anabaa). The €35,000 ARAUG yearling is the second of two foals and the first scorer produced by an unraced daughter of the stakes-winning Snow Gretel (Ire) (Green Desert). Snow Gretel is herself a half-sister to G2 Royal Lodge S. victor and G1 2000 Guineas runner-up Snow Ridge (Ire) (Indian Ridge {Ire}) out of stakes-winning G1 Prix Royal-Oak second Snow Princess (Ire) (Ela-Mana-Mou {Ire}).
