Ken Freirich has pledged to match donations up to $100,000 to help launch Breeders' Cup Charities' second Annual Day of Giving Wednesday.

Freirich is a racehorse owner, retired CEO/entrepreneur, international philanthropist, songwriter/executive producer, and founder of the music group/record label Random Acts of Kindness/Better World Records. He is a board member of the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund and a 2025 recipient of the Thoroughbred Charities of America 2025 Allaire du Pont Leadership Award.

Breeders' Cup Charities donates 100% of funds raised to industry non-profits, with five core areas supported: Thoroughbred aftercare, jockey health and wellness, backstretch and industry workers, and equine research.

Among the established charities to be supported by Breeders' Cup Charities in 2026 are the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, and the Race Track Chaplaincy of America.

In 2025, Breeders' Cup Charities raised more $672,000 through individual contributions from fans and industry stakeholders, with more than $200,000 secured on the Annual Day of Giving alone.
