Henry Beeby | Goffs

Kinnersley Racing Stables' Ebarayna (Postponed) topped the GoffsGo Early August Sale when selling to Henry Oliver and Nick Shutts for £45,000 on Thursday.

Sold as lot 9, the four-year-old filly is out of a half-sister to Grade 3 hurdle hero Ebadiyan (Daylami), as well as the stakes-placed duo of Ensaya (Alhaarth) and Ebasani (Manduro). Ebarayna has been placed in one NH Flat race, running second over two miles at Uttoxeter in July.

Star Of Affinity (Affinisea) (lot 14) and Mento (Karaktar) (lot 23) also broke the £10,000 barrier. The former, a product of Venn Farm Racing, sold to Joe Tizzard for £15,000, while LB Partnership picked up the latter for £12,000 from Thomas Cooper Racing.

Overall, eight lots sold from 18 offered (44%) for a gross of £94,900. The average was £11,863 and the median was £7,500.
