€1.7m Frankel Filly Goes To Godolphin, As Arqana August Sale Continues

Lot 120, a daughter of Frankel, is the first seven-figure filly of the sale | Arqana

The first filly to break the seven-figure mark was lot 120, a daughter of Frankel and G3 Prix Penelope heroine and G1 Prix de Diane second Philomene (Dubawi). She sold for €1.7 million to Anthony Stroud, bidding for Godolphin.

Ecurie des Monceaux consigned the granddaughter of stakes winner and triple Group 1 producer Prudenzia (Dansili).

Monceax, Skymarc and Godolphin bred the filly in the UK. Her dam is a half-sister to undefeated three-time Group 1 scorer and dual Classic heroine Diamond Necklace (St Mark's Basilica), G1 Mackinnon Stakes winner Magic Wand (Galileo) and G1 Irish Oaks winner Chicquita (Montjeu).
