SWEETY DREAM (FR) (f, 2, Dream Ahead–Excellent Girl {GB}, by Exceed and Excel {Aus}), who was scratched from her intended debut at Deauville Aug. 8, broke well and cut across from an outer gate to lead after the initial exchanges of this belated unveiling. Holding sway thereafter, the 73-10 chance was shaken up with 300 metres to go and pushed out in latter stages to comfortably best Skrei (Ire) (Approve {Ire}) by 2 1/2 lengths. “She is a nice filly and was supposed to run at Deauville, but for some unknown reason she got scared going into the gates and flipped over and fell so was withdrawn by the starter,” trainer Pascal Bary explained. “She had been working well and that was most promising.” The €30,000 AROCT yearling, kin to a yearling colt by Siyouni (Fr), is the third scorer from as many foals to race for G3 Prix Cleopatre third Excellent Girl (GB) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}), herself out of a half-sister to GI Garden City Breeders' Cup S. victress Luas Line (Ire) (Danehill) and G2 International Bosphorus Cup hero Lost in the Moment (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €13,500. Video, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
