Fipke homebred Danish Dynaformer made his fifth-place debut over the synthetic, but moved to the turf where he got off the mark in his third career start at Gulfstram in February and took a yielding Keeneland allowance in April. Third trying graded company in the GIII Marine S. over the synthetic here May 16, he then rallied nicely to annex the 1 1/8-mile Plate Trial S. June 14. He was a solid second to Shaman Ghost (Ghostzapper) stretching out to 1 1/4 miles in the Queen's Plate July 5 and never made a move trying dirt in Fort Erie's Prince of Wales S. July 28. Back to the turf for this one, Danish Dynaformer was unusually close to the early pace as he tracked along the rail in second. He struck the front on the final turn as the pacesetter began to weaken, quickly opened up and cleared the field easily en route to a comfortable victory. “I was delighted with him,” Attfield said. “He's a really nice horse. This is what he wants to do. We made a big mistake going into the Prince of Wales but it didn't bother him. He worked well all week. He just ran phenomenally.”
