Unlucky to be only fifth in the Aug. 1 G1 Nassau S. at Goodwood last time, Jazzi Top made amends here to register a career-best win and suggest she has the armory to add to her family's toll of success in the more prestigious distaff contests. Settled in third early on the rail by Frankie Dettori as Wekeela (Fr) (Hurricane Run {Ire}) set moderate fractions ahead, the homebred initially ran up the back of that rival in the straight but was granted a rail seam approaching the furlong pole as the leader drifted right. Darting through to grab the advantage soon after, the bay surged to an authoritative verdict over Holy Moly to add to her prior success in the May 3 Listed Pretty Polly S. at Newmarket. Meon Valley's Mark Weinfeld was on hand to witness the breakthrough win and said, “Halfway down the straight, I thought it was another hard-luck story, but she really flew when she got through. This is probably her best trip and it's John [Gosden]'s call, but I'd imagine she'll stay at it now and head to Longchamp for the [Oct. 4] G1 Prix de l'Opera. We are seriously thinking of keeping her in training, as all the family improve with age.”
