BIG WORLD (f, 2, Custom for Carlos–Tensas Wedding Joy, by Broken Vow) finished third in a pair of maiden events behind 'TDN Rising Stars' to kick off her career and broke through with a hard-fought victory over OBS Sales record-setting $1.9 million OBSAPR purchase Inheritance (Tapit) Sunday afternoon at Saratoga. Filling out the show spot in a five-panel dash behind Tonasah (Malibu Moon) at Belmont July 2, Big World was third again in the wake of yesterday's GI Spinaway S. victress Rachel's Valentina (Bernardini) going six furlongs here Aug. 2. Tabbed as the 8-5 favorite in this event loaded with regal pedigrees, she tracked the pace in the three path through fractions of :23.01 and :46.22, advanced into contention on the far turn and bid for the lead turning for home as Inheritance extricated herself from a tight spot along the rail. Confronted by her gray rival in midstretch, the $98,000 OBSAUG yearling found more and crossed the wire one length to the good. The winner's dam is responsible for a yearling colt by Creative Cause and a weanling full-brother to Big World. She was bred back to Trappe Shot this year. Lifetime Record: 3-1-0-2, $65,600.
