G1SW Crystal Ocean (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), who won the 2019 G1 Prince of Wales's S., will stand for €8,000 at The Beeches Stud after Coolmore released their 2020 National Hunt roster and fees. Bearing the Sir Evelyn de Rothschild's navy silks with yellow cap, the homebred was also second in the 2017 G1 St. Leger at Doncaster as a 3-year-old and was ranked the joint Longines World's Best Racehorse at 127 this term.
The former Sir Michael Stoute trainee is joined by Grange Stud's new recruit Capri (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) at €5,000. The grey's two biggest victories were the aforementioned St. Leger and, earlier in 2017, the G1 Irish Derby for a Coolmore partnership.
Established stallion Maxios (GB) (Monsun {Ger}), a dual Group 1 winner in France and also the sire of the 2019 G1 German Oaks heroine Diamanta (Ger), joins the 19-strong National Hunt roster after six seasons at Gestut Fahrhof in Germany. The Niarchos Family homebred will command €6,000 at Castlehyde Stud.
Leading all Coolmore National Hunt stallions is the veteran Flemensfirth (Alleged) at €15,000. The 27-year-old was the champion NH sire last season.
