Lot 896, a colt by Flemensfirth, led the proceedings with an €88,000 final bid at the penultimate session of the Tattersalls Ireland NH Sale Wednesday. Tattersalls regular Lennie Walker outbid John Nallen for the son of listed-winning Morning Supreme (Ire) (Supreme Leader). The Apr. 11 foal was consigned by Ballincurrig House Stud, offered on behalf of Ashroe Stud Ltd.
“He will come back to the Derby Sale, I like trading them and let's hope he is another Captain Chris,” said Walker.
The session concluded with an aggregate of €3,477,850, a median price of €16,000 and an average price of €18,499. The clearance, comparable to 2018, was 72%.
