Churchill Downs Racetrack has forged a new partnership with TEN20 Craft Brewery to release Churchill Downs Light, a light lager brewed to honor the legacy and lifestyle of enjoying a day at the races.
Churchill Downs Light is crafted with crisp, clean finish and subtle hints of citrus that complement its light body.
Housed in a 16 oz. can, the design features Churchill Downs' Twin Spires and a galloping Thoroughbred silhouette–set silks worn by jockeys.
“Creating Churchill Downs Light has been a labor of love–rooted in craftsmanship, community, and celebration,” said Jim McGuire, co-owner of TEN20 Craft Brewery. “We set out to brew something approachable and refreshing that embodies the spirit of Churchill Downs, and we're proud to see it come to life alongside an iconic venue like Churchill Downs.”
Churchill Downs Light will be available beginning Thursday, Apr. 17 at select retailers and on-site at TEN20 taprooms and Churchill Downs beginning with Kentucky Derby Week.
To celebrate the official launch, fans are invited to the release party at TEN20's Butchertown taproom (1020 E. Washington St., Louisville, KY 40206) on Friday, Apr. 18 at 6 p.m. ET. Guests will enjoy their first taste of Churchill Downs Light, alongside great food on-site, a live ESPN Louisville radio broadcast.
