There was little to no change at the top in the latest edition of the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings, as California Chrome (Lucky Pulpit) remains at the top of the list courtesy of the 133 rating he earned for winning the GI TVG Pacific Classic in late August. Japan's A Shin Hikari (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) and 'TDN Rising Star' Arrogate (Unbridled's Song) share second spot on 129 for their performances in the G1 Prix d'Ispahan and GI Travers S., respectively, while G1 Irish Champion S. hero Almanzor (Fr) (Wootton Bassett {GB}) and Australia's darling Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}) share a rating of 127. Chautauqua (Aus) (Encosta de Lago {Aus}) remains the world's top-rated sprinter, dirt or turf, on a rating of 122, one ratings point better than G1 Nunthorpe S. winner Mecca's Angel (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}), bound for this weekend's G1 QIPCO British Champions Sprint S. The only mover in this month's rating was Found (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who was bumped up one point to 123 for her victory in the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Oct. 2. Found takes in Saturday's G1 QIPCO Champion S. ahead of a possible defense of her title in the GI Breeders' Cup Turf Nov. 5. The next edition of the WBBR will be released Nov. 10.
