GOOD MOVE (f, 3, Broken Vow–Change Up (GSW, $375,420}, by Distorted Humor) breezed a best-of-34 half-mile over a sloppy track here in her latest work Feb. 11 and was sent off a tick below the favored Thread the Needle (Tale of the Cat) at 8-5. Charging up to the head of affairs, the chestnut dueled Unprovoked (Justin Phillip) through a swift first quarter in :22.26 and shook free of that rival through a half in :46.46. Good Move continued to pour it on in the stretch, cruising clear under a hand ride from Hall of Famer Gary Stevens to win as she pleased by six lengths. Heidi's Wish (Bodemeister) filled the place spot, four lengths clear of Thread the Needle. The winner is a half to Pinch Hit (Harlan's Holiday), SW, $159,050. Fellow Klein homebred and GIII Pocahontas S. winner Change Up also produced the 2-year-old colt Teamwork (Sky Mesa) and a yearling colt by Country Day. She was bred back to Majesticperfection. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $45,000. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
