'Brennie' Retired to Rancho San Antonio

Uncle Brennie (Uncle Mo–Moon Music, by Malibu Moon) has been retired and will stand his first season at Rancho San Antonio, founded by Dr. Angel R. Contreras and currently managed by his son Dr. Angel B. Contreras, in the Dominican Republic, the stud announced Tuesday. From the standout first crop of leading freshman sire Uncle Mo, Uncle Brennie won the Sunday Silence S. for Flurry Racing Stables, LLC and trainer Brad Cox as a juvenile and was also placed in the Street Sense S. at Churchill Downs. Privately purchased from his connections for stallion duty, the 3-year-old retires with a mark of 12-3-2-2 and $118,469 in earnings. Uncle Brennie is out of a half-sister to GIII Arlington Matron H. heroine Euphony (Forest Wildcat)and SW Strike Again (Dixie Union), while his second dam is a MSW. His fee has been set at $3,000.
