Champion Arrogate (Unbridled's Song), who was named the world's best racehorse of 2016, has edged clear of Australian superstar Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}) following his impressive victory in the G1 Dubai World Cup Mar. 25 to top the second editions of the Longinues World's Best Racehorse Rankings for 2017. Arrogate boasts a rating of 134 and Winx, who captured her 17th straight victory last weekend, is second at 132.
Dubai World Cup runner-up Gun Runner (Candy Ride {Arg}) is tied for third at 123 with G1 Longines Dubai Sheema Classic hero Jack Hobbs (GB) (Halling) and Hartnell (GB) (Authorized {Ire}), who finished second to Winx in last Saturday's G1 Longines Queen Elizabeth S.
Veteran sprinter Chautauqua (Aus) (Encosta de Lago {Aus}) is next on the list with 122 following his victory in the G1 Darley TJ Smith S.; and he is followed by Kitasan Black (Jpn) (Black Tide {Jpn}), who made his seasonal bow a winning one in the G1 Osaka Hai.
