Multiple group winner Al Hakeem (GB) (Siyouni {Fr}) has been retired and will stand at Al Shaqab's Haras de Bouquetot in 2025. A fee will be announced later.

A homebred for Al Shaqab Racing, he won the G2 Prix Guillaume d'Ornano, although an early 2023 injury delayed his return last year. He would go on to finish fourth in both the G1 Prix du Jockey Club and G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. This term, the G3 Prix Gontaut-Biron and Listed Prix de Suresnes went his way while under the care of Jean-Claude Rouget. His record stands at 10-5-1-0 and $738,809 in earnings.

Benoit Jeffroy, Haras de Bouquetot's stud manager, commented, “We are proud to welcome home Al Hakeem, an Al Shaqab Racing homebred who was raised at Haras de Bouquetot. He carries an exceptional pedigree, and we are pleased to announce that breeding rights will be offered for sale. Breeders interested in this new stallion should contact our nominations team.”

The son of G3 Prix Penelope heroine Jadhaba (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) is one of four winners from four to race for his dam. His granddam, the Giant's Causeway mare Naissance Royale (Ire), won a quartet of American graded stakes and was also second in the G3 Prix Vanteaux. Fourth dam Bookkeeper (Private Account) was second in the GI Demoiselle Stakes.

“Al Hakeem is a horse of great heart and courage, and his ability to recover from such a serious injury and return to group-winning form speaks volumes about his character,” Rouget remarked. “He has all the attributes of a future champion sire.”
