Adaay Joins Whitsbury Manor Roster

Adaay (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}–Lady Lucia {Ire}, by Royal Applause {GB}), a winner of the GII Hungerford S. and GII Sandy Lane S. in 2015, will join the Whitsbury Manor Stud stallion roster in 2017 as a joint venture with Shadwell Stud, the farm announced. Bred by L. Fox, the Irish-bred was a €54,000 purchase by Tally Ho Stud out of the Goffs November Foal Sale, who later consigned the colt to the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale, where he was snapped up by Shadwell for 240,000gns in 2014. He promptly won his Newbury debut in May of 2014, defeating paternal half-brother and subsequent MGSW Kodi Bear (Ire). The 4-year-old also scored in the Listed Carnarvon S. and his record stands at 16-5-1-3 and $365,076 in earnings.

“We are very grateful to be given the opportunity to stand Adaay in partnership with Shadwell Stud,” said Ed Harper, Director of Whitsbury Manor Stud. “He was a classy and precocious individual who will ideally suit commercial breeders. His sire Kodiac has risen up through the ranks very quickly, so to be standing a top-class son of his is extremely exciting.”

Adaay is a half-brother to MSW Mullionmileanhour (Ire) (Mull of Kintyre) and his fee will be announced later.
