Yankee Rose Returns Positive Test

Yankee Rose | Racing And Sports

Racing NSW stewards have confirmed that the dual Group 1-winning filly Yankee Rose (Aus) (All American {Aus}) has tested positive for a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory.

The 3-year-old returned a positive reading for Ketorolac from her post-race urine sample following her runner-up finish to Global Glamour (Aus) (Star Witness {Aus}) in the G1 Flight S. at Randwick on Oct. 1, 2016. An inquiry will be held in Sydney on Friday, Jan. 20.

A $10,000 yearling purchase, Yankee Rose enjoyed a stellar juvenile campaign, being beaten just half a length by Capitaliat (Aus) (Written Tycoon {Aus}) in the G1 Longines Golden Slipper S. and winning both the G1 Inglis Sires' Produce S. and G1 Moet & Chandon Spring Champion S. She is trained by David Vandyke for an 18-strong syndicate headed by Scott Darby.
