In other supplementary news the Andre Fabre trained Wind Chimes (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}) has been added to the field for this Saturday's G1 Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot S. at Newmarket at a cost of £20,000. Fabre won the mile contest three years ago with Esoterique (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) but his challenger this time around will have to overcome the mighty Laurens (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}), among others, in order to give the master trainer another Group 1 win over the Rowley Mile. Wind Chimes was unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile and despite the Coolmore owned filly winning the G3 Prix de Lieurey at Deauville in August, it is in defeat where she has arguably posted her best efforts, including last time out when a head second to Recoletos (Fr) (Whipper) in the G1 Prix du Moulin at ParisLongchamp. “Wind Chimes has done well since her narrow defeat in the Prix du Moulin. She worked this morning and I was happy with her, so we decided to supplement her for the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes,” Fabre said on Monday. “She has always been very good and I intended to run her in the 1000 Guineas [at Newmarket] in the spring but was unable to get her ready in time. You never know until the day how they will cope with the Rowley Mile's undulations but it is a fair course with a good racing surface and she is a well-balanced filly,” he added. Fabre has the height of respect for the opposition though he is certainly positive about Wind Chimes's chances of overturning the likely favourite. “Laurens has the highest rating in the race and if she runs to her best she will be difficult to beat, but it will be fun to have a go. Wind Chimes is a Group 1 filly – I am sure of that,” he said.
