The Last WORD: Since completing the Darley Flying Start as part of the inaugural class of 2003- 2005, Francis Graffard gained experience with Darley and Alain De Royer Dupre which helped springboard his own career as a racehorse trainer. Based in Chantilly since 2011, the 39-year-old has enjoyed 170 wins to date including Group 1 success with Erupt and Group 2 success with Sumbal and Volta. Francis sat down with Alayna Cullen to share some of his private life. If you could have personally witnessed anything, what would you want to have seen? France winning the World Cup in 1998. If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? My wife makes a dish of chicken and chorizo with paella rice. It is her specialty.
