Curragh trainer Brendan Duke has revealed his smart juvenile Warm The Voice (Ire) (Vocalised) has been sold to race in Hong Kong. Bred by Jim Bolger, Warm The Voice carried his wife Jackie Bolger's silks to victory three times this year including in two premier nurseries before running a close third to 'TDN Rising Star' Saxon Warrior (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) in the G2 Juddmonte Beresford S. at Naas Sept. 24. Selling the colt will leave a large void in Duke's string such were the lofty hopes he held for the horse but he remains philosophical over the decision to accept what was no doubt a lucrative offer. “The situation is the horse has been sold to race in Hong Kong,” Duke said on Tuesday. “He's currently in quarantine in Newmarket and he'll go on to Hong Kong from there. It's a business decision I made myself. There was absolutely no pressure from Jim or Jackie, quite the opposite. I think Jim was actually a bit surprised when I told him.” Duke said he will take charge of Warm The Voice's yearling full-brother among other yearlings for his former boss Bolger and expects to hear a lot more of the 106 rated Warm The Voice when he settles into his new environment. “Make no mistake, Warm The Voice is a very high-class horse and I expect him to do very well. I'm very grateful to be receiving Jim and Jackie's continued support and this is a decision I made with the bigger picture in mind and I'm very comfortable with it,” he added.
