Vicar's In Trouble Succumbs to Laminitis

Ken and Sarah Ramsey's Vicar's In Trouble (Into Mischief–Vibrant, by Vicar), winner of the 2014 GII Louisiana Derby and GII Super Derby, was euthanized after suffering from laminitis. The 5-year-old was injured during the running of the 2014 GI Breeders' Cup Mile. On the board in nine of 11 starts, Vicar's In Trouble won four times and earned $1,228,292. In addition to the Louisiana and Super Derbies, he also won the GIII LeComte S. and was second in the GII Indiana Derby. A tweet from Ramsey Farm read, “With a heavy heart we share the sad news of Vicar's In Trouble. He was so friendly here on the farm and such a great horse and a great fighter. He will be missed by us all.”
