Todd Pletcher-trained sophomores Rachel's Valentina (Bernardini) and Outwork (Uncle Mo) breezed over the Belmont training track Friday as they prepare for upcoming appearances. Last year's GI Spinaway S. winner Rachel's Valentina, most recently sixth as the favorite in the GI Kentucky Oaks May 6, was clocked in :48.56 (18/44) for four furlongs. The 'TDN Rising Star' and daughter of 2016 Hall of Fame inductee Rachel Alexandra (Medaglia d'Oro) will run in next Saturday's GI Mother Goose S.–a race her dam won by nearly 20 lengths in 2009. “All systems are good and we're planning to run,” Pletcher said. “She's training well and we're looking forward to running her again.”

GI Wood Memorial hero Outwork, last seen finishing 14th in the GI Kentucky Derby, is still on track for the GIII Dwyer S. at Belmont July 9. He went in 1:01.05 (2/8) Friday. “He worked on Friday and everything is on schedule with him,” Pletcher noted Saturday.
