Conquest Mo Money scored a wire-to-wire win in the Mine That Bird Derby at Sunland to remain undefeated. A neck victor despite a wide trip here first out Jan. 6, the bay doubled up with an 11-length romp at nearly 14-1 in the Riley Allison S. Jan. 29. Breaking sharply as the narrow 13-10 second choice, Conquest Mo Money dictated terms through solid splits of :22.78, :46.33 and 1:11.33. Race favorite Irap (Tiznow) appeared to have dead aim on the leader nearing the top of the stretch, but was turned back by the eighth pole as Conquest Mo Money strode clear once again to score by 1 1/2 lengths in 1:43.12. The winner's unraced dam is a half to Canadian champion Serenading (A.P. Indy), while his second dam is a SW/GISP full-sister to MGISW Touch Gold and a half to Canadian Horse of the Year With Approval (Caro {Ire}).
