Trainers In Commentary Competition

Jamie Osborne | Racing Post

Six trainers-three from Newmarket and three from Lambourn-will partake in a commentary competition at Newmarket on Sept. 23 during 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend to benefit Racing Welfare, Newmarket Day Centre and Newmarket Academy. Jamie Osborne, Joe Tuite and Brendan Powell will represent Lambourn, while Amy Murphy, Richard Spencer and Mark Tompkins represent Newmarket.

Sara Cumani, chairman of the 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend, said, “The Trainers Commentary Competition has really turned into a fantastic annual occasion and we are very pleased to welcome the new format of teams from the different training centres this year. We were also very keen to introduce an incentive which would benefit the trainer and their team, therefore we hope the prize of a Christmas Party package will help each yard back their respective boss. The coming together of these six trainers will no doubt create a bit of healthy competition which in turn will hopefully help to raise as much money as possible.”
