Toormore Returns To Training

Toormore | Racing Post

Toormore (Ire) (Arakan {Ire}), who was in February removed from the Darley roster after failing to attract enough mares in his first season at stud, has been returned to training with Charlie Appleby, according to Racing Post. The 6-year-old was unbeaten in three starts at two in 2013 for Richard Hannon, including the G1 Goffs Vincent O'Brien National S. on his way to being named champion 2-year-old, and he added a win in the G3 Craven S. at three, the G2 Lennox S. and G2 International Topkapi Trophy at four and the G2 bet365 Mile at five.

Appleby told Racing Post, “We've had Toomore a few weeks now and he's coming along well. He wasn't proving a commercial success as a stallion so the decision was taken to return him to training. He still seems to be enjoying it and William Buick sat on him in a piece of work on Saturday morning and liked him. The initial plan is to run him in the G2 Lennox S. at Goodwood on Aug. 1, a race he has won in the past.”
