The Factor Colt Stays Unbeaten at Keeneland

5th-KEE, $68,040, Alw, 4-20, (NW1X), 3yo, 5 1/2fT, 1:02.56, fm.
BOUND FOR NOWHERE (c, 3, The Factor–Fancy Deed, by Alydeed), an impressive debut winner, rallied strongly from off the pace to win going away and stay unblemished at Keeneland. Graduating by six lengths Jan. 25 at Turfway, the $310,000 KEESEP buy was given a 59-10 chance to double up in this turf debut. Off without issue from the outside stall, the bay settled off a spirited pace duel, crept up toward the leaders three-deep on the turn and swept past just outside the eighth pole, kicking clear to a 4 1/4-length success. Caribou Club (City Zip) finished second. The victor's dam is a half to champion, two-time GI Breeders' Cup Sprint hero and successful sire Midnight Lute (Real Quiet). She dropped a filly by Goldencents last spring. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $54,300. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
