There is certainly no doubting the fertility of the Aga Khan Studs' new stallion Zarak (Fr) (Dubawi {Ire}-Zarava {Ire}, by Zamindar) with the news that he has ten mares tested in foal already. Standing at Haras de Bonneval for a fee of €12,000, the group 1 winning blue blood is fully booked for his first season at stud with his owner supporting him with a number of group 1 performing race-mares and proven group 1 producers. They include G1 Darley Yorkshire Oaks and G1 Qatar Prix Vermeille winner Shareta (Ire) (Sinndar {Ire}) and G2 Prix Chaudenay winner and G1 Prix Royal Oak runner up Shankardeh (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}), while the dams of group 1 winners Rosanara (Fr) and Vazirabad (Fr) also feature among his first group of mares. Zarak stands alongside leading French sire Siyouni (Fr) (Pivotal {GB}), triple group 1 winning miler Charm Spirit (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and G1 Prix Ganay winner Dariyan (Fr) (Shamardal), who has his first foals this year.
