TBA Flat Stallion Parade Line-Up Announced

A total of 11 stallions, either standing their first or second seasons at stud in Great Britain, will be on show in the 2018 Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Flat Stallion Parade at Tattersalls in Newmarket, on Thursday, Feb. 1. Held prior to the Tattersalls February Sale at 11 a.m. local time, the stallions will parade in the sales ring of Tattersalls.

They are: Whitsbury Manor's MGSW Adaay (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}); Overbury's GSW Ardad (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}); GISW Cannock Chase (Lemon Drop Kid) and GSW & G1SP Peace Envoy (Fr) (Power {GB}) of Worsall Grange; Batsford's Japanese MGSW & G1SP Danon Ballade (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}); The National Stud's trio of G1 Racing Post Trophy hero Marcel (Ire) (Lawman {Fr}), reverse shuttler and Australian MGSW Spill the Beans (Aus) (Snitzel {Aus}), and MGSW & MG1SP Time Test (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}); Irish highweight Mattmu (GB) (Indesatchel {Ire}), who stands at Bearstone Stud; Bucklands's GSW Pearl Secret (GB) (Compton Place {GB}); and Mickley's Proconsul (GB) (Galileo {Ire}).

After the parade, breeders, owners, trainers and spectators are invited to view the stallions in the left and right yards, where MGSW & G1SP Cable Bay (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) of Highclere Stud, SW Coach House (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}) who hails from Bucklands with Pearl Secret and GSW & G1SP Hellvelyn (GB) (Ishiguru); and Gazeley Stud's MGSW & G1SP Finjaan (GB) (Royal Applause {GB}) will also be available for viewing.

This year it is great to see that in addition to the newly retired stallions, breeders will also have the chance to see Danon Ballade and Spill The Beans who are both new to the domestic market. The TBA team will also be on site during the stallion viewings in the left and right yards to answer any queries. We are, as ever, thankful to Tattersalls for their continued support of this event which showcases the latest British-based stallions entering the market place.”
