Officials at Tattersalls Ireland have released the catalog for their upcoming September Yearlings Sale, the main section of which takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 20 and 21 to be followed by Part II of the sale Thursday and Friday, Sept. 22 and 23.
This season has seen no fewer than three Tattersalls Ireland graduates go on to Guineas success, chief among those being Galileo Gold (GB) (Paco Boy {Ire}), who was purchased by Amanda Skiffington for €33,000 from the consignment of Donnellys Well, agent, in 2014. Now trained by Hugo Palmer, the colt has become one of Europe's leading milers, with victories in the G1 QIPCO English 2000 Guineas and G1 St James's Palace S. in addition to runner-up efforts in the G1 Irish 200 Guineas and most recently in the G1 Sussex S. at Goodwood.
Another of the winners at the Royal meeting, My Dream Boat (Ire) (Lord Shanakill), features in the catalog, as an Elnadim half-brother to the G1 Prince of Wales's S. upsetter goes through the ring as hip 481. The bay colt, from the family of champion Golden Opinion and Irish and US Group 1/Grade I winner Samitar (GB), is consigned by Woodhouse Town Stud, as agent.
All yearlings catalogued and offered for sale are eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes 2017 to be run on Irish Champions Weekend at The Curragh Racecourse.
