MONOMOY GIRL (f, 2, Tapizar–Drumette, by Henny Hughes) circled the field to win going away in her grassy one-mile unveiling at Indiana Grand Sept. 5 but left nothing to chance Thursday night beneath the Twin Spires, winning in wire-to-wire fashion. Sent straight to the front in a race lacking pace, the chestnut relaxed with her ears pricked through decidedly moderate fractions. Put to the test on the far turn, she rebroke in upper stretch and bounded home a 1 1/4-length winner. Moonlight Rain (Point of Entry), prominent from the outset, stayed on in close pursuit down the lane but could not get by. The winner's dam–a half to GSW Drum Major (Dynaformer)–produced a full-brother to the winner in 2016 and a colt by Palace Malice this spring before visiting Shackleford. Sales History: $100,000 Ylg '16 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $46,680. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
