Tapit to Remain at $300,000 for 2018

Leading North American sire Tapit will command a fee of $300,000 once again for the 2018 season with his book limited to 125 mares.

Gainesway released the 2018 stud fees for their entire roster, including Empire Maker, who is their second highest-priced stallion at $85,000. He is followed by Tapit's son Tapizar, winner of the GI Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, who commands a fee of $12,500 next season.

GI Breeders' Cup Mile upsetter Karakontie will stand for $10,000, as will MGSW Anchor Down, another son of Tapit. The rest of the Gainesway roster is as follows: Afleet Alex ($8,500), new stallion Bird Song ($5,000), Birdstone ($5,000 and To Honor and Serve ($7,500).
