Everett Dobson, who races horses with a variety of trainers on the East Coast under his Cheyenne Stables, emerged the successful bidder at $750,000 on hip 160, a Lane's End-consigned daughter of leading sire Tapit. Bred by Frank and Laura Jane Lyon's Summer Wind Farm, the gray filly is a daughter of and the second foal out of Princess Arabella (Any Given Saturday), who won each of her three trips to the post, including an eight-length success in the 2012 Sunland Park Oaks before her premature retirement to stud. Offered by her owners, Peachtree Stable, in foal to Tapit at Keeneland January in 2013, Princess Arabella fetched a final bid of $725,000 from the Lyonses. Sadly, the Tapit colt she foaled in 2013 died during its weanling year.
