Suedois Scratched from BC Turf Sprint

Suedois | Sherackatthetrack

Suedois (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}), placed in a trio of Europe's top Group 1 sprints this year, will be forced to miss Saturday's GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint after being diagnosed with a stress fracture of his off fore. The 5-year-old was in the middle of his morning exercise when something went amiss and rider Colin Bolger reduced the colt to a walk for the final two furlongs. Suedois was taken off the track in a horse ambulance, and O'Meara confirmed the horse was scratched from Saturday's race. “Unfortunately, he has a stress fracture, but he will be OK in the long run, and will race again next year,” he said. O'Meara will send out GI Arlington Million winner Mondialiste (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in Saturday's $4-million GI Breeders' Cup Turf.
