Stonestreet Now Owns 80 Percent of Curlin

Jess Jackso?s Stonestreet Stables announced yesterday has bought out previous partner George Bolton and now owns an 80-percent interest in likely Horse of the Year Curlin (Smart Strike). Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. “We could not be happier,î Jackson said in a statement. ìTo be a part of this marvelous horse's special year has been the highlight of our career in racing. His consistent record of success in America's most important races against the very best competition exceeded our wildest expectations.î Jackson owns Stonestreet along with his wife, Barbara Banke. The other 20-percent interest in Curlin is still owned by the jailed attorneys of Midnight Cry Stable, Shirley Cunningham Jr. and William Gallion.
