2-time Derby winner from the Unbridled sire line
From the first crop of brilliant WinStar stallion Bodemeister, Always Dreaming represents four straight generations of a sire line that finished first or second in the Kentucky Derby.
A winner of more than $2.4 million in his stellar career, Always Dreaming dominated the spring Triple Crown prep season on the East Coast, and in his final Kentucky Derby [G1] prep, turned in the fastest Florida Derby [G1] win in nearly 40 years. A month later, he validated that victory with his valiant win in the Run for the Roses.
Now he is set to make his mark as the latest stallion in the dominant Unbridled sire line.
Always Dreaming has all three things we look for: Looks; he was a $350,000 yearling; Pedigree; he is out of a fast, grade 1-level race mare and is a half to a grade 1 winner; and Performance; he's a brilliantly fast winner of two prestigious grade 1 races
When you look at what he's done this year, to win his first two races by open lengths and to win the Florida Derby and Kentucky Derby by the margins he did, it's pretty rare that you see that.
