Wesley Ward-trained juvenile Silvertoni (Tapit) will make her first start back in the U.S. in Saturday's 100th running of the GII Adirondack S. at Saratoga. A debut winner at Keeneland Apr. 14, the grey filly bested males in Churchill's Kentucky Juvenile S. May 5. She failed to fire when ninth in Royal Ascot's G2 Coventry S., won by Sunday's G1 Keeneland Phoenix S. hero Caravaggio (Scat Daddy). “She's done well since then,” said Ward, noting that the Adirondack often comes up easier than the opening day GIII Schuylerville S. and the end-of-the-meet GI Spinaway S. “Shipping to England is like shipping to California; it doesn't take anything out of them. She breezed here a couple of days ago [four furlongs in :47.05 Aug. 25] and she did really well.”
