Khalid Abdullah homebred Shutter Speed (GB) (Dansili {GB}), once considered tops among Juddmonte's 3-year-old fillies for 2017 before Enable (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}) took up the mantle with five Group 1 wins, has been sent to the U.S. where she will stay in training. The news was originally reported in Racing Post and confirmed to the TDN on Thursday by Khalid Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe.

“Shutter Speed is on the farm in Kentucky,” he said. “There are no immediate plans and Prince Khalid has not decided yet upon a trainer for her. Being an eight to 10-furlong filly by Dansili, she fits a great profile for U.S. racing and there should be some good opportunities for her in 2018.”

Shutter Speed was a debut winner at Yarmouth in her lone 2-year-old outing and earned 'TDN Rising Star' status first-up at three this year when defeating subsequent Group 3 winner Raheen House (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire})-with Enable in third-at Newbury on Apr. 21. Shutter Speed was considered among the favourites for the G1 Investec Oaks off a win in the G3 Musidora S., but stamina concerns saw her rerouted to the G1 Prix de Diane, where she was fourth, with Enable romping in the Epsom version in a memorable performance. Shutter Speed had just one more outing this year, when beating one home in the G1 Juddmonte International S. in August.
