Setback For Al Kazeem

Multiple Group 1 winner Al Kazeem (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) has picked up an injury that will keep him on the sidelines for the time being. The 7-year-old entire recently won a strong renewal of the G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup at The Curragh and connections were understandably keen to target the G1 Prince Of Wales's S. at Royal Ascot. However trainer Roger Charlton has announced that John Deer's homebred will not make Ascot and said, “Al Kazeem returned from Ireland with an injury to his foreleg, which will rule out the Prince of Wales's at Royal Ascot, and the Eclipse, but it is hoped that he will return for an autumn campaign. It's a huge shame, as he would have had a great chance in both races, but he will only run when we are 100% happy with him. He deserves that.”
