+MOON DASH (f, 2, Malibu Moon–In the Slips {SW & MGSP, $188,410}, by More Than Ready) was bet like a sure thing in her debut going two turns on the Delaware turf and backed it up with speed and gameness to prevail. Hustled away as the 4-5 choice, the $650,000 OBS April purchase sat second off of a longshot through splits of :24.45 and :49.06. Taking over willingly midway around the far bend, the bay was confronted by Madame Milan (Bernardini), a half to ill-fated Kentucky Derby hero Barbaro (Dynaformer) and Going Out (Tapit), out of champion turfer Forever Together (Belong to Me), on either side, but dug in gamely in the final sixteenth to repel the latter by a half-length. The winner has a yearling half-sister by Gio Ponti and her dam was bred to Awesome Again this spring. Sales History: $220,000 Wlg '15 KEENOV; $47,000 Ylg '16 FTKOCT. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $20,400. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
