Glamanation, a maiden entering the restricted Shady Well S. at Woodbine, was no longer one exiting it, rallying to victory to become the first stakes winner, and third overall, for her freshman sire (by Dynaformer). Second on debut to subsequent GIII Schuylerville S. romper Dream It Is (Shackleford) on debut here May 27, the bay chased that filly home again when fourth in the My Dear S. June 24. Breaking as the third choice at a nickel below 7-2, Glamanation settled in second-last up the backstretch, about three lengths off of a :23.34 quarter. Patiently handled on the turn, she tipped five-wide at the top of the lane and out-kicked Mega Monster (Silent Name {Jpn}) to the wire for a 3/4-length score in 1:05.94. The victress's second dam, MGSW Bar U Mood (Saratoga Six), is a half to Canadian champion With Approval (Caro {Ire}) and MGISW Touch Gold (Deputy Minister), as well as Daijin (Deputy Minister), the GISP dam of Canadian champion Serenading (A.P. Indy). Golden Scarf is responsible for a yearling filly by Rookie Sensation.

“She ran second to Barb Minshall's good filly (Dream It Is) the first time out and personally, I think she probably could have won that day,” said winning rider David Moran. “When she went to go by, she started laying in on horses, so today, I tried to swing her out a little bit and she even tried it for a couple of strides. She's only learning and she's improving every race. I think there's better for her to come still.” Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
